40,320 & 330 all use the same block. Same bottom end parts too except for a few very early 40's with M components.
You are going to need the parts, service and operator's manuals from 1-800-522-7448.
If you can find any of J.R. Hobb's books on the 1st numbered and 20 series, it's an education. Either from Green Magazine or E-bay etc. "Litle Giants" covers the who line from the M to 40, 320,420,330,430,435 and 440.
