When I need a price, I will usually talk to the area equipment dealers. They are up on what a tractor will bring, and this is not always the same as the blue book. Are you from a big or little tractor area. It may be to your advantage to drive to an area that does not like the type of tractor you are looking for. I fund this tractor hobby of mine by doing that. Go and buy what others do not want and take them to those that do. Sometimes you only pay the gas, but you get to meet people, and generally others are happy to.
