John Deere 8640 or Steiger Cougar 225

Any recommendations on which tractor would be more reliable, a JD 8640 or a Steiger Cougar CR 1225 (225 horse)? The JD has a little more horsepower, but I've not heard much good about their engines, while the Steiger has a Cat 3306, which I've heard good things about. I'm looking to be able to pull a 5 shank V or inline ripper for deep tillage, plus other normal tillage use (disk, field cultivator). For a 650 acre farm. Any suggestions? BTW, the Deere has 5000 hrs, 18,500$. the Steiger is listed at 32000$, with 6500 hrs. Thanks!
