Sometimes when installing a new tube in a tire I will dump some baby powder in the tire and roll it around before putting in the tube. This allows the tube to slide inside the tire more easily when inflating it. You can shorten the life of a tube by it getting "pinched" when inflating it and letting the air out and refilling doesn't always do the trick.
