You musta got a good chebbie I have one( 85) that had 9 trannys 3 rear ends & countless transfer cases. We have junked everything GM on it except the cab ( rebuilt that with Taiwan parts) Yes we abuse it I didn't buy it for a Sunday driver But if you want tough buy Ford & Farmall
