Just how much experience have you actually had with a properly maintained Deutz? Everyone is quick to criticize things they don't understand but slow too admit it. If Deutz tractors are so lousy for use as a stationary powerplant for say, feed-mill operation, why are they the preferred engine of choice for: compressors, mobile lighting, power-lifts, irrigation, generators, etc..? Any quick answers? Why would it be that they are also the only engine certified to run in undergroud mining? Why is Deutz the leading manufacturer of fuel-efficient power-plants in the world? In the mid-70's Deutz put out a gutsy promotion ad that stated, "If you can find a tractor that can do the same amount of work on less fuel, buy it!" When was the last time you saw John Deere, International, Case, or any other brand make such a claim and back it up? Any quick answers? Check the oil, fan belt, and clean the cooling fans regularly like you would any other brand and run it as long as you like. Oh yeah, be sure to wave to your neighbors when you see them heading for the fuel barrel at the end of the day.

Flax provided the fibre which w
