Your right about the miss use of them! I have been lucky to find 3 good ones so far as the gearing was not intended for pulling stumps. It slows the ground speed down to a 3 to 1 ratio and that allows a lot of torque on the transmission. So over the years people have busted them using them by improper use. Not many left anymore that are still good. Mark H.
