hydraulic problems

I have a 1963 Fiat 411r which looses the hydraulics on the 3ptl after 20 minutes of operation. I have been told is either a problem with the 'buckets' in the rear hydraulic section under the seat or the pump. Any advice on where to start, what I should look for would be helpful as I am new to tractor repairs and the old girl hasn't been looked after.
