We use the Starband systems (www.starband.com). Got three of the silly gizmos; it's the only way we can get broadband out here in the boonies.

If a guy goes with a three year contract, a connection runs in at $49 a month (I think). Trouble is, the hardware runs in at roughly $700 per installation.

Wet snow will stop 'em dead and of course, a guy has to be aware of all the firewalls, anti-virus stuff, etc. 'cause they are 'on' all the time.

Please don't call me sir; makes me feel older than I already am. :>(
