Stay away....stay far away. I spent 15 years in the body shop trade(racket) and still know a few guys at it now. It's a dirty and unhealthy way to make a living. You'll always feel like you never charged enough and the customers will always feel like you ripped 'em off. I've had guys walk away from me for quoting them say $600 to paint a car only to find out that they finally went and paid twice that after they shopped around and made enemies everywhere and were too sheepish to come back. It's fun and rewarding to do it for yourself but the that'll go right out the window once you go "into business".
