The 283 isn't that old of a tractor, and with a loader, it should bring more than $8,900. I'd look it over real close before I spent any money on that one. They are good tractors, though.

Personally, I favor the 50. I've used them side by side before while working in tobacco. The 50 started and ran better, but that 283 and it's power steering made it a lot easier to use when it came time to drive back to the barn.
