YES - You are getting overwhelmed because you are giving it away. I have a truck I need painted, and would love to find someone like you around here. You're wearing out your tools, compressors, etc. I wouldn't try to compete with the body shops for their business. There is plenty of work for someone as yourself, from people that don't want to pay body shop rates for absolute perfection. And being this would be extra money for you, I also wouldn't take on any work from someone you think might pick everything apart, or someone you just don't like!
