Most tractors are more or less the same dimentions, but for example if I use the same implement on a cat 2 & cat 1 tractor one needs to be careful. Generally a longer pto shaft will give you more leeway, some of those really close-in 3pt implements are a pain, as the pto needs to be so critically short.

It is typical for new implements to need some trimmimg tho. They are sold with a standard pto that probably will work on cat 2 tractors, & you trim to length. Often you can order them with a longer or shorter pto; however the dealer finds it easier to order all with 'long' and then trim to fit.
