I appreciate all the advice/suggestions you guys offered. When the weather permits I will definitely block the bed and scrape all the rustproof off the pump and hopefully identify the type I have. I've tried everywhere I could think of to locate the proper breather/filler cap. I don't know much about hydraulics, but I have a feeling that piece of plastic line that fell into the reservoir has lodged in the hoist spool. Thanks for the help...waiting for warmer weather to build a garage so I can do these projects in the winter.
