I was wrong, they are ALL positve ground, gas or diesel. I've had a couple of the Indian British IH tractors for over 20 years - B275 diesel and B414 diesel and they've been 12 volt neg. since I had them. But, both were rewired a bit a long time ago with Delco alternators. I'd forgetten - amost had to use a magnifying glass of read the schematics properly. B414 gas shows a single 12 volt battery hooked postive ground. B414 diesl shows two 6 volt batteries hooked in series but still, positive ground. With these British or Indian tractors, negative ground WAS used with the 354, 364, 424, 2424, 444, and 2444. Won't make much difference unless you're using the original generator and regulator.
