One place to check is where fuel lines go into upper plenum cover.That o-ring gets pinched alot.
I made my own poor mans smoke machine. Used cylinder leakage tester, the kind with two guages and regulator. took piece of heater hose stuck quick connector in one end .Found brass fitting that fit in other end that had a small nipple on it to attach to vac line.On hose side of fitting i drilled it out enough to hold a small cigar, . light cigar , stick fitting in hose, turn air up slowly to get smoke , hook up to vac line and any leaks will have smoke coming out !!! works great .
