I had a Suburban once, had a problem
with the left turn signal. Bought it new in 1988
worked fine for a few years. Then it developed
a dead short. Turns out that where the wire runs
inside of the frame, some one at the factory had
inadvertly clamped the wire under a bolt and
eventually it wore thru. Fixed it by running a new
wire front to back.
