2 miles @ top speed represents just about 8 minutes - barely enough time to burn the deposits out of the exhaust but not enough to prevent the bores glazing, with loss of compression, more blow-by and worsening symptoms. The engine needs some genuine hard work on a regular basis. Also check it is running at thermostat temperature, not below. If you continue to run in this manner, you can expect a big overhaul bill for compared with the amount of work the tractor has done.
