I can't see what the problem would be the new Ford Powerstroke diesels are recommending synthetic oil I have a Dodge/cummins myself that I use the Rotella Synthetic 5-40 (comes in a blue jug) I also use the same oil in my GoldWing motorcycle and the price is hard to beat it is usually just under 13 dollars a gallon. I usually get it at Wal-mart or Advance or Autozone parts stores. Just make sure it is a BLUE jug if your wanting synthetic and it is also 5-40 verses 15-40 for the dino oil
