I would think this is some fluke chance of carbon holding up the valve too. I have a two stroke Banshee and switched to mixing with Amsoil (which I beleive is a true full synthetic) at a 80:1 ratio and there is a world of difference in power, snap, idling, and starting. I would switch back to the synthetic again and see what happens. This is an interesting case.
