When I was young and naive, I could hear them coming over the house......the drone of those 6 huge engines...will never forget it.

Was so high (35k ft I guessed) you could only see a silver dot followed by a long contrail.

Have the site bookmarked and go to it often to reminisce.

Once, while in the air force, we were doing "touch and go's" at Kelly Field in San Antonio, TX. and one of only 2 or 3 XC-99
cargo versions of that big bomber was parked there. Talk about a huge plane.
