Bbott, 1) Actually, at this point only 10 acres are plantable (they�ve been corn for years). Around 40 acres are open pasture. Have been supporting beef cows for 20+ years. The 40 acres are a bit hilly (some too steep to plant but on edge of property).
2) Yes, I�m mechanically inclined , and my Father-in-Law defines mechanically inclined. He makes a lot of stuff from scratch and does a lot of custom mods. He loves the old Farmalls & JDs. And is probably going to loan me a Farmall. I think it�s an �M�. What do you think about a Super M?
3) Of the remaining 160, I am going to put 145 into what�s called woodland management, which means I�ll have to harvest some timber each year. The other 15 I�m going to clear into fields. They were fields in the past and have young trees on them.
Some of the land can get a bit wet. Do you think I should look at 4WD?? Thank you SOOOOO much for your help and interest�.I�m going to email you a picture of my land if it�s ok���..
