My son tried to buy a wireless router - a computer part from an EBay vendor who was marketing a bunch of them. Claimed that he had a computer supply store that went belly up and he had taken the routers in payment for what they owed him. Guess what - routers never existed, never were shipped. Apparently PayPal got involved, and my son got a refund on his account, but there were anxious moments on our part for a while. So yes, there are scams out there, and you gotta be careful who you deal with.
