Here's what gripes my donkey. Our company has 9 Chevy pickups. 6 of them are 2wd 1/2 tons driven by our lab guys all over N. Mississippi to test dirt and concrete on construction sites. Our guys take very good care of their trucks or we fire them. Tell 'em that when we hire them.

Everyone of them say they wouldn't buy one for theirselves. Boss drives a 2500 diesel and wouldn't have anything else. This truck might pull a boat 18 times a year. That's the hardest work it ever does. AND, his 2500 will get traded for another one just like it about every 2 years. In my opinion, he isn't working his no way near hard enough to say Chevy is the best.

On the flip side - if our testing guys were driving 2500's, they might like them better.

The toughest truck we have has got the easiest job. Our lighter duty trucks are working the hardest around here. I don't think this is a good comparison. And I think this is may be what we're getting from the general public.

The BEST of anything is gonna depend on how you use it.

Every brand has good ones and bad ones I'm sure. How your dealer threats you after they sell you a bad one has a lot to do with repeat business also.

I worked for a man who got traeted like sh!t by a Ford dealer in 1979 and wouldn't buy another Ford if it was a proven fact that they were better. Period.

Me, I drove a '68 F-100 from about '84 - '98. Found a heck of a deal on a '94 F-150 in '98 that I'm still drivin'. This one has had the you-know-what ran out of it and has held up very well. But I ain't about to make the comment that Ford is better than Chevy. Hell, I ain't tried but 2 of them.

I'll bet the bottom line is money spent.

Around the coffee shops the word is - Chevy is best. When this ole Ford quits, I may try me one of them Chebbies.
