Dear B. Brooks, No, I haven't installed one on that particular tractor, but have built and installed many on tractors, boats, and trucks. They generally require less maintencance, are more reliable, and I (an electrical engineer) can state they generally deliver more spark energy (volts times amps) and more arc surface area (can use a wider plug gap at higher voltages) which aids in a more efficient start of combustion. The chief advantage with an electronic ignition, is it's much better to quickly turn on and off a transistor, than to have the old mechanical points bouncing up and down and requiring their condensor.
