I also didn�t hear any complains about the Deutz diesels. We had them in the Army trucks and some eartmoving equipment in Army also...a lot of bad trained guys worked with that stuff, and never they caused any probs. Even here we have Deutz tractors with more then 10.000 hrs on them. The Construction companies liked the magirus trucks with the Deutz engines. And the trains here often use Deutz - Diesel. I go with you, Pete at the licensed Deutz-Torpedo engines, they had been a piece of Junk..but the TAM-Trucks(former Jugoslavia) which also had licensed Deutz engines gave their owners a lot of satisfaction.
