What the other post are talking about as a sunken float, is one with a hole in it that you cannot see. Gas will get inside of it and make the float heavier. Shake it vigeriously when you have it apart to see if this has happened along with seat replacement and properly adjusting float height and drop with gasket in place...deadeye
