Of the many phones I have had, the Samsung seems to be the toughest. I got the first Samsung in Aug of 03 and it worked well for a few months and then it began having a glitch where sometimes the person on the other end of the line couldn't hear me. At first, one tap on the phone would jar things loose and then they could hear me fine. Well, things got progressively worse to the point where I really had to bang on it to get a voice connection. This was when I was on the wheat harvest the next summer and I could't find a Verizon dealer where I could get a new phone, so I just kept whacking away on it with my pliers whenever I wanted to make contact. I did this until I came home and could get a new one. I got another Samsung because I figured if the first one could take all of that abuse constantly for that many months, it's worth giving that brand another try. The new one is six months old now and works flawlessly. I threw the old one on the shelf and it layed there for five months until my granddaughters found it during christmastime. The battery still had enough charge left in it to give them several hours of fun (torture for us) playing music with it.
