big thanks to everyone for their suggestions. i deleted my cookies and rebooted and It seems better this morning. I was using messenger last night and that may have been part of my trouble. Also I see the weater channel can be a culrit too but I hate to give it up. I do have yahoo mesinger installed and would like to get rid of it but can"t seem to find it. It trys to signin everytime I boot and I cancel it.
