All i can tell you is, there's hundreds of them still on farms here working hard earning there keep every day.

I personally have had (3) over the years, and still have one, none ever gave me a minute of engine trouble.

If they were all that bad, surely some of the ones here would have had bottom end trouble!!

At one time i had a friend that worked in Iraq putting out those big oil fires from gulf war 1, When he came home he told me the only gen. sets that could stand the abuse of day after day in the heat were Deutz powered....

Man, you may have saw a bad one, but it's not common!!
