I have a Farmall 706 and an 856. The 756 replaced the 706 and the 856 is the 756 bigger brother. These were all good tractors and capable of long live and hard work. Don't worry about the gas unless you plan on a lot of hours of operation. A diesel would use about 20% to 30% less fuel so if you use 100 gal per year will not make much difference and the gas is a lot easier to repair if repairs are needed.
