In Dallas a few years back, there was a weatherman (Harold Taff) that we all looked to becouse he had been around so long and he was good with Texas weather, which changes quite often. Anyway, he told the story more than once about when he was young and working in Alaska he missed the high temp. for the day by 100 degrees. He had said it would make it to 70 and it only got to -30. Some freak weather system that they sometimes have there. Then too this would have happened maybe 60 years ago.
