I took the sheet metal off my tractor and prepped it for paint. I took it to several body shops to try to get it primed and painted. Most did not want to mess with a small job. The one that did agree to paint it wanted more than the whole tractor was worth. I ended up painting it in a friends garage. Spent $189 (plus a case of beer) and ended up with good results. You may try your local community college or high school to see if one of the students would paint it.
