Radiator

Im still recovering from stickershock after hearing my 88 FLC 120 Freightliner needs the radiator re-cored. This may be off topic because it is for my grain truck and not a tractor but I need help. The repair is priced at $1321.25. Should I try another shop, is that too much considering I removed the radiator and delivered it to their shop? Does anyone know of any good semi salvage yards or other options? Im in KS. Im tempted to reinstall and pur some barsleak in but I hate to "fix" things that way. Thanks for your help.
