This is the model that has 2 cylinders..one on each side, each attached to a chain that runs over a loop of channel iron--around to an anchor on the pivoting arms..
The arms sit in a mount on the front pedestal of the tractor, and reach down to the main channel irons, and lift from under the channel irons, in long slots..there is a roller in each slot..
The packing at the rod-end is OK..I need to tighten the Piston packing..some oil is getting past the pistons..
At the rear of these cylinders ( the closed end) there is a 1/2" hole...I think there is a possabillity that the piston can be pushed back to that end and a rod inserted, to register with something inside, and the rod rotated, to tighten the piston packing...
Is this possible..??
This is a good loader, and I want to keep it working..!!
Fellas would have us clean out their barns with that Late JD "B" with no muffler, as it didn't throw sparks like most tractors..
It still is my main dirt-mover and snow plow..!!
