You had me scared, though it was a 720 two cylinder that was being reved to 2000rpm.
After rebuilding both my 2-53 Detroit with higher compression pistons. And restoring compression on the 70 diesel Deere with new over size pistons, valves & seats.
Both of those engines clatter something fierce compared to how they sounded before rebuilding and running with less cylinder pressure.
