john deere 60 clutch operating sleeve

I am new to the board but have enjoyed it for a couple years. A, little about me! I am a retired military tech(fancy name for mechanic). have worked on wheel barrows to tanks.the only thing I know about a 60 is its yellow and green,not sure what shade.Question jd 60 clutch operating sleeve. can the ear that slides over the pin be drilled,a new bushing welded in and drilled to fit a new pin? any advice appreciated. thanks
