Wiring or coils of wiring will have voltage induced. And current flow if the path is complete when a varying magnetic field is passed through the wiring.
Welding cable or any wire amplifies the magnetic strength if coiled.
The electric arc it's self, transmits emf. This is picked up on wiring as electrical voltage as well.
The square root law applies here. Arcs or wires 2x closer is 4 times more energy. 3x closer is nine times more energy.
Solid state components are susceptible to voltage spike that are harmless to breaker points/condensers.
