I don't know where I fit; I'm 61 so I guess I'm "older gent." My tractors go from a 46 Ford 2N to a 54 JD 70. One of my sons and one gradson are really into the old tractors. (Too early to tell about the other grandson; he's only 8 months old, but I'll do my darndest to lead him in the right way!) But-that's three generations into old tractors and implements so I well satisfied with my contribution.
My gut feeling is that the interest isn't going to die. However, I think there will be an influx of more non-farm/non-agricultural folks getting involved. Notice the interest in the old-time farm days. And have you ever seen someone light up who drives a tractor for the first time? Those people are getting into the game too. So I think the hobby is safe.
