Small acreage profitability

I currently have about 6 acres available here at home, which I keep mowed. Also, approx. 16 acres close by. Location is south central Michigan. I'm wondering how to best put this ground to use, maybe something unique, since I don't have a large operation. Maybe catnip? I have an M and sickle-bar mower, so cutting without destroying usable parts of the plant is no problem. I know from internet research that catnip is grown in other areas, but I don't know how it would do here. Any suggestions or other ideas/input from y'all is tremendously appreciated.
