5000 ford miss firing and back firing

I have a 5000 ford that keeps miss firing, and when you open the throtle it back fires and misses. We put rebuilt ingection pump in, new ingectors, new valves and springs, head was planned, and the valves are in the lower part of spec for valve high, and put a new cam in. We have changed the timing from 19 degrees to 17 degrees, and anything above 17 degrees gets hot on the dyno. We think it has an early block with later head, because the valves are cut at 45 and has a 4in bore.
