Way O.T. Computer prob

I tried posting this one several computer tech boards and got nothing so I figure they great folks here will at least answer:) I have a computer here that has lost the command.com file in C: drive. I tried making the boot disc on my computer and it wwill boot the computer to an A prompt but I can't do anything else. Been a long time since i have worked in Dos and my old brain is failing me. How do i get the Command.com file over to C; drive? thanks!
