I changed to the diesel nozzle and continued to fill the tank with diesel. I then drove 40 miles at slow freeway speed to the next town. I then put two quarts of motor oil into the fuel tank and topped it off with diesel. I continued to do the short-drive and fuel-it trick until I got to my destination approximately 400 miles. I have sense driven several hundred miles (on diesel) with no noticeable engine problems. This was a Cummins Diesel in a Dodge Ram Pickup. I keep my fingers crossed every time I drive it hoping that I haven’t damaged the injector pump.
