I grew up a block from a massey dealer and I used to spend quite a bit of time there, and massey used this motor in there smaller 4WDs and the wrench spinners had a pile of them out back that they had replaced and they said that those small cat V-8s were the biggest piece of crap ever built . And later I found this out for myself driving 10 wheelers they would not stay running long they replaced several of these motors yearly, bacause you had to keep them wound up tight to get any useable power out them. And this is not crazy talk I am just telling what I know about them from use and quotes of others.
