Ruined the battery and the regulator on the tractor...
Put it on the right way and leave it there, it might take charge. Been there, done that.

One time I even tried to jumpstart the tractor backwards off the truck.... The jumper cables, if they're good ones, will try to weld away the battery cables. You'll melt big divots into them........

Then you'll replace the cables and the battery to keep everybody else from knowing what you did!
