HEET may be methanol (wood alcohol). It will corrode certain metals. I would not use it on fuel injected vehicles at all. For gas line antifreeze, a pure isopropyl is by far the better product- costs about twice as much as methanol. Ethanol (grain alcohol) is not ususally harmful to metals.
