Finished my pallet forks, (except for painting). They are 4 ft. in length, made of 2 in. square tubing, 1/4 in walls. They have hooks made out of 1/2 plate steel that hang on the pivet bar for the gaffle hooks on my loader. They are adjustable to four feet in width. The L of the forks are reinforced with 1/2 strip steel. The Plate hooks was made from stainless 1 3/4 in., water drill collars. (1/2 in wall). Using the deflection fomular found in Machinery's Handbook I figure I can life pallets weighing 2000 lbs, (which is more then I need). Furgure they are safe enough for my uses. The forks will be used on a 4020 D with Ford loader.I will post pictures tomorrow if it warms up enough to paint them.
