There are timing marks on the flywheel. Remove the cover on the side of the clutch housing. The marks will be hard to see, so it might be a good idea to get in there with some sandpaper or somthing and try to clean them up. Next, remove the valve cover, and turn the engine until cylinder #6 exhaust valve is closing and cylinder #6 intake valve is opening. Stop turning the engine when the pointer in the clutch housing lines up with the 0 on the flywheel. You are now at 0 degrees TDC on #1. Your injection pump may be timed a certain number of degrees before or after TDC, which is why it's a good idea to get a manual.
