In many states and provinces, it is illegal to tamper with or remove an identification plate. E-bay also has rules that prohibit it. Sorry to be a stick-in-the-mud, but the fact is that the practice of rebadging a stolen vehicle will eventually move to the tractor market. Why make it easy for the isolated criminal out there?
