They were the first wheeled diesel farm tractors. The governor allowed it to run about 7 - 800 revolutions on gas, then switched it over to diesel automatically. Sometimes it took off on diesel, sometimes you started over.

I know two guys who have them, but they are not very common. I've helped start them, it's a lot of work if they aren't set-up just right.

A real collectors item in my opinion.

Guy Fay probably has a page or two about them in his "IH Tractor Data Book", but I don't know of a specific book about just WD-40's. Maybe somebody else knows a better source of info.
